If you notice any issues with the released 32-bit app for x86_64 clients, please tell us about it here.

Thanks
Andre

Hello,

I'm running Mandriva 2007 64 bits.

I'm still in trouble with Boinc 5.8.11.
All my wus are going on error after about 4 to 5 minutes.

Did you apply the ulimit -s unlimit fix?

If you havent check in the FAQ on how to do that.

Oops, sorry ...

As my machine was running correctly for Malaria and WEP2 projects, I thought everything was OK with BOINC.

You're right the ulimit value for me was 8192.
But my Linux experience is rather small ...

Thank you Memo !!!

NB:
I'll see if it's OK later, because communication deferred for 12 hours, and I've no more Docking wus for checking now... :-(

Finally, it didn't work better, even with the "unlimited" setting....
Still having this error after about 4 or 5 minutes :-(

Is the ulimit fix sticking? There was some distros it wouldn't stick on and a couple of others just refused to play nice

Where did you put the 'ulimit -s unlimited' line?

It's in the script I use for launching BOINC :

#! /bin/sh
cd BOINC
ulimit -s unlimited
./boinc & ./boincmgr &

When I check in a terminal, I get that :

[otax@localhost ~]$ ulimit
unlimited
[otax@localhost ~]$

Try

#! /bin/bash
cd BOINC
ulimit -s unlimited
ulimit -a
./boinc -daemon -redirectio
./boincmgr

and see what happens.

I understand nothing ....
I changed nothing since yesterday, and now I've no more errors ...

So my script including only "ulimit -s unlimited" is now efficient.

Thank you all.... ;-)
Have a good crunch !
