WU 1iiq_44_mod0013b_5089_341546 ran for 29.68 hours (my computer said 78 hours) and then gave me an error.
My computer rarely gives an error so I say your WU was defective. I WANT COMPENSATION FOR ALL THAT TIME LOST.

Thank you.

The details disappear quickly, so excuse the long post rather then the short link! Also a 72 hour runner/failure.

As discussed in the "0% thread" : There have been a bunch of damaged workunits (incomplete input files) and most of us had a few of those - so it sure averages out somehow :-)

It should be fixed now.

Hi, I do have some of these, I'll watch if they'll run normal , if they do not, should I abort them?
Don't see another solution.
Happens in every project once in while , we sometimes forget, 1,920,000 people registered at BOINC and some projects are that popular, thus have so many contributors, that their server equipment, has reached, their limits. (SETI@Home, f.i.)

It's not realistic, to demand compensation , cause, you signed up for this project and no project can or will garantee a steady, un interrupted workflow, I think it's ridiculous, to demand anything .
I've lost computing time as well, since they're all spare-cycles , you can't blame it on a project, IMO.
Even if you've donated equipment/money!

They are not spare cycles anymore when you buy computers specifically to crunch.
I have to much money invested in equipment, internet connection and electricity.
I didn't sign up for test apps.
So many good projects to work on I need a reason to eliminate a few and this is as good a reason as any.
I have already detached from this project and I will remain detached until I receive a minimum of 560 credits.

Thank you.

No offense dude, but we all are volunteers. We do it for the science, not the payment. One wonders what thou wilt do after all of your other projects experience the same phenomenon? Wilt thou then pawn thy computers? Sucketh it up like one with intestinal fortitude dude!! :-)

I had several WU indicating 35 hours cpu time, 0% complete.
I finally aborted them. I hope they will get recheduled to someone else.
They did not like my AMD Quad running Vista-64.

I dont often kill/abort wu's but they have been eating too many cycles. Sorry.
