Are there any plans for a universal (ie supports powerpc and intel macs) version of the app?

Yes, I am working on that right now, but have many problems getting the app to work on ppc. Actually maybe any of you has a clue about what's going on:

The app compiles fine with the G95 compiler, but whenever we run it, it is stopped with a signal 14 (ALARMCLOCK). I have the feeling that it has something to do with memory allocation problems, because with a small input file it doesn't stop, while with a larger input (incl more and larger arrays), it stops with that signal.

Does anybody has a clue when and why signal 14 is thrown? Google didn't help yet.

Thanks
Andre

Not sure if this is normal behaviour or not

Thanks, but I won't put the ppc app on the docking system yet since every result would crash anyway. At the moment testing standalone and will continue doing that until we find out what's wrong with the signal 14 thing and can fix it.

Looking at your error messages (shared library issue), it seems like you are running OS X Panther or Jaguar. We only support Tiger at the moment. See this FAQ entry .

Thanks
Andre

Hosts like Sir Brian’s Mac Mini , whose OS is listed as “Darwin 7.9.0”, are running Mac OS 10.3.9 AKA “Panther”.

Hi Andre...

This mac mini won't be upgraded but I might be getting an intel mac once leopard (10.5) is finally released. I'll try to keep an eye on things this time....
