Yes i do. Mine the Kubuntu 64 bit but its basically the same. The Client from repositories has problems so after you install it replace the boinc_client file in /usr/bin with the one from Augustines client and everything works fine after that.

I installed the client from the BOINC download site and then put Augustines over it. It didn't work. I was still having issues with Gparted, so didn't know for sure that wasn't it. I went ahead and installed the 32bit and I'll try 64bit again next week when I have more time to play.

Do you notice a performance increase?

Not on this project as it only really sends you the 32bit app. But it flies on ABC and RS which have actual 64bit apps. Around 2-3 times as fast. Thats all ive tested on so far as i like the credit there so much lol.

Two times is a nice increase.

Did you install the 64bit from scratch or can you "upgrade" to the 64bit without a complete reinstall?

How's the driver support for Ubuntu 64, especially video drivers? I'm not a gamer so I'm just interested in whether things like the Intel motherboards or NVidea chipset based AMD motherboards built-in graphics are supported.

I have only just moved to 64 bit from 32 bit myself so im not going to be a great help.
First question is yes you require a new install. Im sure there would be a way around this but its most probably extremely painful long and complicated.
As for driver support the one on the live CD had a great dislike for my onboard video card but i used the alternate install CD and once i did all the updates everything works well. Im also about to add an NVidea card to my system tomorrow if i get the time so i will tell you if it works.

@David,

I just installed Ubuntu 64bit on a Biostar 6100M9 (nVidia) w/onboard video with no problem.

I'll have to measure performance against Malaria or WCG as they supposedly have 64bit apps.

@ David,

I have one computer with a Gigabyte mobo and a Matrox PCI video card that would not install as 64-bits.....so just the Biostar 6100M9s for me so far. I'll be running those two 64-bit for awhile to see how they play.
