When I read that Docking was ending I finished the WU I had and then tried to delete DOCKING but it wouldn't delete from my BOINC.

What do I do?

Just go to your BOINC manager and select Projects.
Highlight the Docking@Home project.
Click on Detach or Remove button.
This will detach your computers from the project and it will disappear from your BOINC Manager.
You of course will still have an account on the Docking project but after May you wont be able to access it.
Your points totals will be retained on the Stats sites.

I had tried that of course, but the Remove button for Docking@Home is blanked out (in much fainter type than the other buttons) and when I click on it nothing happens. Any other suggestions?

It could just be a BOINC thing and you may have to close BOINC and restart it.
Not saying that that will work but it could.
