Does the application charmm 5.01 supports checkpointing? If yes, in what timesteps checkpoints are saved?
I just restart my Boincmanager and the time was the same, but the progress decreased from 8.8% to 5.0%.
Edit: And now within a few minutes up to 12.6%. Is this normal?

Yes, checkpointing is enabled. The first time is after we have created the initial grid (usually after 5 mins or so) and after that every time we go through the loop where we change rotation and conformation. It is hard to say what the exact timestep is, because it depends on the lenght of the calculation. Also, the grid at the beginning is always build because we have problems reading it in and reusing it right now. Michela is working on fixing this. So what you are seeing is normal: you stopped at 8.8%, then we recreate the grid (and therefore you see the 5% in the gui), after that we read back the last checkpoint (8.8%) and continue. It could be that you got a shorter wu (15 mins calc) and therefore the 8.8 to 12.6% went fast.
Hope that helps.

After restart Boinc the percent status fall back from 29% to 5%. If I have read this right I must running WUs some time while the percent status increasing fast to last checkpoint?
Update: nice, it works, take some minutes to update to the last value :)
Yes, it was running. After 3 hours of computing I shut down Boinc (charmm still at 1%), and when I started again it was again the same 1% :(
I think I abort this unit. :|
Yes, please abort and see if the next one has the same problem. If it does, please let us know and possibly send the file 1tng_mod001_xxx_xxx.inp in the projects/docking.utep.edu subdirectory of your boinc installation to dockingadmin@utep.edu so that we can analyze this more in details. You have to get that file while you're crunching though, since after you abort it, it will be removed by the client.
Thanks
Andre
