Correct. Karina is working on the Windows version of the screensaver, but there are some issues that have to be solved. Also, she is starting this with only a recent OpenGL class under her belt and no windows programming experience, so it's gonna be great if she pulls this off!

I'm assuming there's no graphics yet, since my graphics tab is greyed out, correct?

Can Karina make a standalone program that does some OpenGL graphics and have some of the people with Vista run it on their systems. I've been reading in the computer news sites and forums that Microsoft seems to be making an effort to cripple/kill OpenGL and have everyone use DirectX. I believe it was said that some of the latest video drivers from various manufacturers don't fully support OpenGL. I'll have to find some references for you and make sure that I'm remembering correctly but it might be a good idea to try OpenGL on some various Vista machines with different video drivers. I'd hate for Karina to do all that work and then find that it doesn't work on some machines.
I've never programmed OpenGL, DirectX, or a screensaver and My windows machines are all XP but I thought I should at least mention it.
EDIT: You'll find a bunch of info on the subject if you google the phrase: Microsoft Killing OpenGL

Have you read a good science fiction novel lately?

That would be a big problem, because all (as far as I know) boinc screensavers are based on opengl so that we can be platform independent: the same code runs on Win, Mac and Lin. Also, the whole boinc graphics framework is based on opengl for the same reason.
And really I don't think MS will be able to kill of an open standard. They haven't managed with java and they won't with opengl. Or at least I sincerely hope so, else I will boycot them :-)
