After having finished my first dockings, I was shocked by the amount of Granted Credits. For a 4400 second wu, it claims appr. 20 credits (16 per hour), but grants 49.5 (40 per hour per core)...

After having finished my first dockings, I was shocked by the amount of Granted Credits. For a 4400 second wu, it claims appr. 20 credits (16 per hour), but grants 49.5 (40 per hour per core)... One reason is that the Windows App has sped up (optimised) more (from 8500 sec to 5150 sec on my AMD 4800+) than when fixed credit was introduced (all WUs get 49.50 cobblestones no matter what you claim), it was originally close to what Einstein granted. Some Linux and Mac versions of the App are having trouble and don't give the same Cr/h as Windows (my Opterons are down from 20+ to 6-10 now), so you have both extremes with the overall Project average much lower than you are getting. ____________

Conan is right. We were doing pretty well with fixed credit until our new app version was released which has seen an enormous (unexplained) speedup for windows machines. The linux and macs are way behind though so for them the 49.5 credits per wu is not too much. As soon as the boinc client benchmarks stabilize for all platforms we are probably going back to boinc-calculated credits again.

i think same credit for all WU when all Wu are the sam time is better. U need only optimize linux/mac app to get them time complete like windows.
