I know it's not much, but I'm in the top 500! Yay!

Oh wait.. there's only 360 something users here.. hmm..

well I'm 262 out of 368, so that means that about 1 out of 3 people really never did much to test the project :( Bad testers! Bad Bad Bad!

Oddly.... I'm not on the RAC charts??? Only the total Credit charts... Unless I missed me?

Hello,

I'm not sure how often those pages are generated. Also, Docking has stopped generating new work for a few days to let the work queues go empty before implementing a new homogeneous redundancy (HR) scheme which will cause different pairings of user machines on work units. It's been a real problem finding which CPUs and operating systems can pair up with each other to allow proper verification of work units. All the different floating point implementations by various CPU manufacturers and the different generations of CPUs and OS libraries has caused some real problems.

It's possible that the RAC charts are turned off until the new work units are available, but I don't have any personal knowledge of how or when the table is updated. Right now, they're working very hard on getting the new work units and HR scheme ready, as well as fixing a checkpointing problem. I expect that the work units with the new HR system will go live within a couple of days.

Thank you for helping with Docking@Home.

You're right j2satx. I could have sworn that he wasn't there when I looked before writing my long response.

I wonder if I need to read tables better or to type faster :-)

Thanks,

Eat more carrots..........LOL

@Aaron, let's see what your machine can do...! Well, after we start getting new WUs anyway.

5000 credit today alone :-D

Yay!

I am considering placing my order for the QX6700, but.. does anyone know when the next group of CPU's is going to be released by Intel? I'd hate to drop 1000 on a processor, and then have it be worth 200 bucks in a month..

ETA : The WU seem to be chugging along without a single error on my Vista 64-bit rig. (I'm suprised this project is alpha.)

Almost there... we have some problems with checkpointing to fix (hopefully we can make some new app releases this week) and then we can go to beta when the biophysicists have their input data ready for us.

And yes, we definitely have been getting more stable over time :-)

April 22nd is the next round of price cuts. You can find some of the price cuts here . There's talk of a QX6800 in 3Q07 . On journalist says they already have a sample for testing in this article on Penryn (45nm) parts being released this year . A few days ago, Intel said Penryn will have a 45 percent speed boost . There's a bunch of Xeon price cuts and introductions in 3Q07 .

This is not easy to sort out but it definitely looks interesting :-)
