Hi All, I'm testing out a new rig that has windows 7 running in 64 bit mode with hyperthreading. Does BOINC/DOH support that and would there be a performance boost? Thanks.

In a nutshell YES

HT is a trade off 1 processor doing 100% vs 2 Quasi processors doing 50% each ..but there is overhead

personally I do run HT I don't know why but the #'s seem to be up about 10%...Rock on cowboy!!!!!

BTW Tony; I and most of the rest of SeriousCrunchers@D@H are away doing a benefit Crunch for a friend's team for 2 weeks ((we just finished a prior benefit that lasted 2 weeks)), you are welcome to join in on the fun; after that there is one more benefit crunch that will take 2 weeks ....then(( after a 6 week hiatus)) I'm back to D@H with a vengeance and new toys!!!

Not sure where to post this but I am running BOINC With SETI@HOME and DOCKING@HOME loaded and running. SETI seems to run like it should. The work unit in progress shows progress, elapsed and time to completion and it runs. DOCKING, however, shows no progress bar, and the elapsed time is way past what it should have taken to complete the work unit, 14hrs. The time to completion is sitting at what it was when the work unit started around 3:32 to complete. I even suspended work on SETI and Docking isnt getting anywhere. I first noticed this when I noted a message that said my units were overdue and probably wouldnt be counted as completed. I have already done the normal uninstall and reinstall of BOINC, etc. Whats wrong?

Today I installed BOINC on two new Windows 7 computers, since there was no work at Rosetta I attached them Docking@home. Exactly the same phenomena as described above, progress bar stays at 0%. I have no idea where to look for a solution, since I'm new to Win7. On both computers I was logged on as Owner/Administrator, so I don't think it depends on the new user rights system of Win7. Any suggestions what to do?

My AMD system running Docking fine, my Intel with Windows 7 is having the same problems as those above. WU's show 0% progress after hours of running. Let one go for twenty-fours hours it was still in the same status. I've disconnected my Intel system from Docking.

I also am running Windows 7. Something was done @ Docking on or around January 31st as that is the day Docking stopped working on my home computer. This is probably the day I reset the Docking project. Clearly resetting did not help, but perhaps I adjusted my BOINC settings so Docking does not like it ?

Docking is using 6.54MB of hard drive space. BOINC is using 230.93MB of hard drive space. Unfortunately I upgraded BOINC and now have no messages tab from which to copy and paste any Docking messages or attempted activity.

Got a few computer errors between October 29th and January 31st.

October 1st was the 0% fiasco. Those were not deleted until the Oct 29th when I did the monthly check of it.

Here are my preferences for BOINC and if anyone has any advice I would welcome it. All 5 other BOINC projects are working fine and normal without errors.
