We would like to invite you to share your stories on Docking@Home through this post. It has been a fun and unique experience! The best: When it worked, it worked well. The worst: What about not solving persistent user problems under Windows7 64-bit ? ____________ |

I loved crunching for you guys and for your studies. I was absent for a few months and just started crunching again for Docking yesterday and now I read you're shutting down. Not cool, but I guess it's better that way if you're undermanned and can't properly manage the project. The biggest issue I had with Docking is the frequent lack of response from those in charge but I guess this is related to the lack of manpower.

For the most part this has been a set and forget project (a good thing). Unfortunately there have been times when tasks didn't progress (which caused problems).

The Docking@Home project has been a major crunching project for Team Phoenix Rising in which we have contributed about 5% of the total work done and sit proudly in second place in the team rankings. It is sad news that D@H is retiring but we all hope the work done has achieved something positivein the field of medical research.

I hope the results are useful and look forward to any news of further medical application of the output of our crunching. |

Too bad you hardly maintained a Mac app at the very beginning and let it die soon after, I think I must have about 40000 points here...

Tis a shame to see the project come to an end. It was obvious from when I started 2 years ago that this project suffered from a lack of funding/support. But it kept chugging along and I have been happy to support it.

How much funding do you need per month? Maybe we can fund you at least partially on
Bitcoin Utopia
.

The project has had one or two problems, but nothing too bad, I have regarded it as reliable. I hope we have achieved something. Well done, happy to have helped.

Very sad to see D@H closing down, I've been with you since 2009, you were one of my first projects and I have contributed continuously to D@H and many others ever since.

It's sad to hear that you've had to close this project. I hope that at least the work of the community was useful... |
