What about? Is a standalone app? And when will be released??
We are working on an extension of VMD (open-source package available at http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/) independent from the BOINC client. We are working hard to get a alpha release for a small group of D@H testers for the end of the summer. I should have more news to share with you all for the end of June.

If you are interested in working on Docking@Home in a great group at UDel, contact me at 'taufer at acm dot org'!
We wish to be faster. We are working as hard as we can but we have to juggle with our classes, assignments and homework. We are making good progress with the integration of the game into VMD and plugging VMD in BOINC. We are not ready for an alpha release :-(

Have you plan to publish exscitech to docking volunteers??
A dead project?

Dear Volunteer,
Thanks for the interest! Right now the ExSciTecH project is in development phase. We will be very happy to keep you posted when there are big achievements such as new tools release, new papers/posters published, new scientific findings, or new presentations about the project!
We expect to have updates by the end of Spring semester when our developers (also undergraduate and graduate students) finish the development of ExSciTecH user interface.
Thanks for the comments and the support of the project, we really appreciated them!

Yes I read the thread about charmm upgrade. It is a little complicated than just updating charmm. To use a new version of charmm, we need to change the charmm source code to remove any machine dependency and integrate it to BOINC, also we need to tests all the complexes input to make sure they don't result in computation errors with the new charmm executable. It requires more time to do, we are estimating the possibility, and advantages also challenges it may bring.
Thanks,
Boyu
