I have different message
Wed Sep 3 20:54:01 2008|Docking@Home|Message from server: No work sent
Wed Sep 3 20:54:01 2008|Docking@Home|Message from server: Charmm 34a2 is not available for your type of computer.

And on other thread there is this message from project developer:

"
Where are the Intel Mac Docking applications of this world?

Not to mention those for PowerPC! I don’t think my G5 has been able to get any Docking work since the relaunch."

Answer:
Currently we have applications for Linux and Windows only, not Mac or PowerPC yet. Sorry about that. We'll let you know when more platforms are available, but probably is not gonna be anytime soon.

I guess there is no application for Macs still.

I'm really sorry for all our Mac volunteers, but there is no close date in which we will release the application for Macintosh.

I'll let you know when we have news in this matter.

There are several volunteers here who can (and will!) help. Just ask!

Hi zombie67,

We know that, and believe me I would gladly ask for help... but it is most a problem of licenses and we cannot do it.

Thank you for your offer, we really appreciate.

And what's about a non-disclosure agreement with the volunteers, like other projects has it already had done ?

Hi Dotsch,

I was not aware that it was possible to do a non-disclosure agreement, let me investigate if this could apply to D@H, and I let you know.

Thank you

I would love to get my quad-core Mac Pro crunching some calculations myself =) If I don't hear about this shortly, I'll ping the staff members directly about it.

I signed up with this project because both the Boinc site and the web site indicates that it supported Mac clients. That doesn't seem to be the case.
If there are no imediate plans, the project should inform the BOINC team to correct the info, and the website should be updated.

Hi, ur posted this messaged 6 month ago, what's up now ?

L'Alliance Francophone, can help a lot ur project if u release an application with work for Mac
4 times a year, l'Alliance Francophone is rushing on a project for 2 week. But we have to choose a project with all application : Linux (ok u got it) Windows (same, u got it) and Mac (erg, u miss it)
Then with this application, like i said, we could help u a lot

Dear All,

I really wish we could address this issue soon but we do not have the funds for a student working on this right now :-( I know that some of our volunteers offered to help but we cannot release the CHARMM code because licensed.

Hopefully in fall the situation will changed.

Thanks,

Michela

Given that it has been almost a year since this thread was updated, is it safe to assume that Macs are not supported?

If that is the case, you may want to update the project page to let the Mac community definitely know so new potential volunteers know not to add this project...

Just a suggestion...

Just to be safe. I understand from some of my teammates that Mac's are still not supported? Is there still no funding to develope a client or are there other problems?

Thanks for your awnser!
