Message boards : Getting started : Error message signing in with User Name ( Message 4801 )Posted 3117 days ago by Brian Flad After I logged in using my email & password, I get to the page asking for a "User Name", "Country" and "Zip Code". I enter my info and submit. Hi Jim, How did you create your account? Did you use the BOINC wizard (new or existing BOINC account)? Or did you create the account using the website form? Also, if you are still getting the error, can you post the exact error message? That will help me in troubleshooting this issue. Thanks, |

Message boards : Macintosh : No new work on Intel Mac ( Message 4770 )Posted 3123 days ago by Brian Flad I would love to get my quad-core Mac Pro crunching some calculations myself =) If I don't hear about this shortly, I'll ping the staff members directly about it. |

Message boards : Docking@Home Science : What is the main goal of Docking@home ? ( Message 4769 )Posted 3123 days ago by Brian Flad Right now, I am crunching 1xug workunits. 1xug is not among the listed targets posted on this project's website. I suggest you show on the home page a list of current targets that we are crunching. I also suggest that you provide a detailed description of each target that is being covered so that we can know what we are crunching for. Before I forget, what is 1xug? I can understand exactly what you're asking. As a non-biologist type, I know it's very easy to get lost in details (I fall into this category as well). I think I'll work with the project scientists to see if we can get some more information online. I think it would be useful to also see which workunits are currently being crunched. I'll post more details as we decide. Thanks |

Hey Pete, These can actually be found on the About > Science page (http://docking.cis.udel.edu/about/science). I just added all the targets that were on the "all targets" page including the Trypsins and HIV Proteases. Please let me know if you have any more trouble. |

Message boards : Web site : New Docking@Home Website ( Message 4716 )Posted 3129 days ago by Brian Flad Guys, That was an extremely nice message, John! From the beginning, a few of the Docking@Home staff were pushing this idea of recreating the template for other BOINC projects. As the website stands right now, this is actually more of a proof-of-concept for the new design and structure. There are numerous places where the code needs to be revamped, especially dealing with some of the forms and errors. I would have to say that getting these changes into a code base that can be used as a template will be a few months off (based on my personal schedule). Me and the Docking@Home staff are definitely interested in giving this work back to the community at large. As for your PS suggestions, I like them. I'll put some thought into the best way to accomplish them and let you if/when it will be implemented. Thank you very much! |
