Only news is I'm up to 74 nodes that are helping Rosetta since the docking forums are so quiet.

While exciting the FENZI work is not about the docking at home client. I started contributing about 2 years ago to this project as docking is a challenging area of research and I'd hoped that interesting lessons learned might come from this including, but not limited to, improved force fields that might account for additional interaction types that the current CHARMM/AMBER type libraries don't account for.

In the same period of time the Baker group has churned out a bunch of publications, some related to managing a distributed computing imitative, but many regarding actual science learned. Until I see some stuff coming out of docking I'm sending all 52 nodes over to Rosetta@home.

Yeah, the update was the first thing I did (6.10.58 right now). I'm also only running one application: docking. Will changing the switch-between-apps things help with the workunits? I'm showing work units not due for days or even a week being run with priority over workunits that are due later today.

Starting about a week or 2 ago, my computers started running the workunits in a funny order. It has some due on say, 9/16, but is choosing to run ones due on 9/25 as high priority. In addition, it seems to keep changing its mind about what's high priority and what isn't, so I have tons of 1/2 completed workunits waiting to run. Some were at 97% completed when the cruncher decided to start on another unit instead. I initially cleared this issue by suspending workunits that aren't due for some time for ones due sooner and got it back on track, but now it's doing it again. I want to shut off network access until it clears the current queues and then start with all fresh units, but many will expire before then. Any idea what's up?

I'm still not getting workunits on any of my machines and some have already run dry. I hit update and it does check but then says "0 workunits sent."

errr, "Scheduler request completed, got 0 new tasks."

So, BOINC went down again on my computer with the error that it can't connect to the client. Any ideas? I tried uninstalling and deleting the directories, and have gone through three of the legacy and development builds. Had this problem once before and going backwards in versions did it, but now that's not working :(

Thanks SJ. Yeah, I've been watching it and the team RAC is going up but bit-by-bit. It looks like it doesn't just add my historic results to the new team. Oh well. . .give it a couple weeks and we should get there. Whoo hoo! All the best.

Will do. Strange, how long will it take to show the switch. At ~32000 my RAC should've pushed Phoenix that last little bit into the top spot. Or does it just start anew averaging over time going forward?
