All 64 bit processors support SSE2 so that optimization can safley go into a 64 bit app. I wish you luck on 64 bit as its what i use these days and the wrapper while it works is not the best solution.

Great newsletter.

One question of mine is why PDF? I personally think HTML works better. At least on my Linux machine reading PDF format is slow and the pages changes are rather odd (i seem to remember windoze being almost as bad). HTML is universal (even more universal than PDF and generally a lot easier to view.

This is one project crossed off my to do list. I agree its their property (the server) and they can do much what they please. I also think teams should blacklist this project. My team leader is on a holiday at the moment or i would have messaged him already (its not something a temp leader should decide) about B@A taking a stand.
Its sad really i created an account and then our AA6 got a very early start so it went on the back burner. Oh well Predictor doesn't get a share of my 6 cores means Docking gets a larger share once AA6 is over so its not all bad news is it.

I have only just moved to 64 bit from 32 bit myself so im not going to be a great help.
First question is yes you require a new install. Im sure there would be a way around this but its most probably extremely painful long and complicated.
As for driver support the one on the live CD had a great dislike for my onboard video card but i used the alternate install CD and once i did all the updates everything works well. Im also about to add an NVidea card to my system tomorrow if i get the time so i will tell you if it works.

Not on this project as it only really sends you the 32bit app. But it flies on ABC and RS which have actual 64bit apps. Around 2-3 times as fast. Thats all ive tested on so far as i like the credit there so much lol.

Yes i do. Mine the Kubuntu 64 bit but its basically the same. The Client from repositories has problems so after you install it replace the boinc_client file in /usr/bin with the one from Augustines client and everything works fine after that.

Just out of interest where does a Celeron M 1.4Ghz fall in the HR classes? its on Linux and i was considering throwing a portion of it Docking's way if it falls under the Linux Intel banner as i think you have all the Linux AMD's you need correct?

Oh by the way i threw a pair of Linux Intel's at the project and i hope to have a Linux AMD back in some time this week.
