My name is Paul Daly. I was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1978 and I lived in
Leixlip
,
Co. Kildare
for most of my life. Just before christmas 2006, I up'd and moved all the way over to an little village called Longwood in
Co. Meath
.
For those that may not be from around here,
Meath
is the historical centre of Ireland, home to places such as the
Hill of Tara
, which is the traditional seat of the high kings of Ireland. It is also where you will find Megalithic tomb
Newgrage
- a structure that is older than the great Pyramids of Egypt.
Back to the boring stuff now! I am currently working as a software engineer for an Irish bank. I mainly work on UNIX based Oracle systems including Oracle Express (OLAP) and Data Warehouse. I also dabble in some Java, VB and a few other bit and pieces!
As well as computers and general technology, I am also interested in music,
Gaelic football
and (occasionally!) soccer.
After crunching solo for some time I decided to join a team. After looking around for a while I decided that
BOINC Synergy
was the team for me. I joined up early in 2005 and never looked back. As well as some of the best
BOINC stats
, signatures etc out there, we have a very active, friendly and helpful membership from all over the world.
