Well here is a 54 yo 100% DAV although it didn’t catch up with me until I was in my early 40's. Prior to this I was a Cardiac Perfusionist working on an open-heart team; transplants, LVAD's, valve replacements, kids. I had worked a Yale on the weekends doing; organ retrievals (it was really weird replacing the long bones with broom handles), kidney, which as soon as you hooked them up pee would start) cancers, lots of neuro especially on bikers on helmet law in CT, transplants, light bulbs up rectums (if they break, it is a serious (problems). Traffic accidents, the drunk who drove up the wrong side of the interstate, struck a passenger van with a family who had decided to start out early for Vacation. I found it ironic that they would pronounce the remaining family members as in "good condition" when both parents were dead, the little girl with a crushed pelvis and femurs, broken arm ribs, the brothers both suffering fractured pelvises, ones blind, one is severely brain damaged. The drunk was peachy keen. Those alive were never going to live anything a normal life. I learned to scrub in USAF doing ENT surgery and plastics. More plastics, nose job, breast jobs, for Generals’ wives at Andrews AFB. Stockbroker, rare books and anything else "I could sell for a buck. Went to school at UMass Amherst class of 84 with a BS in Microbiology. Went to get a MS in perfusion. Well read and previously big 265 and 6'3" now I am at 210. My 1st vixen was beautiful, petit and smart; The second was tall, stocky, smart, psychotic narcissist & rich. The last time I saw my boy 14 years ago, I hear he is gay. Would love a family but that has passed me by. I do not drink or smoke my only vices being fishing and zipping around in my BMW station wagon. Not only does your health problems but also it is pretty lonely. Going to the VA is a bright spot in the week.
