I'm a 50+ year old programmer living in northern Alabama. Fortunately, I'm far enough north that I only have to dodge bad thunderstorms and tornadoes, not hurricanes like Katrina.

Your opinions about Docking@Home
|
I run Docking@Home because I think that the medical community is on the verge of some great breakthroughs and projects like this will help that along. Currently, D@H is in Alpha test, and I really enjoy being a small part of that.
Aside from people reporting on issues they have with running the work units, I've seen some very valuable feedback in the message boards about problems that other projects have had and how to avoid them. For one thing, the project is dealing with the credit issue very early on. There are some great people from all over the world who are volunteer testers. I help out as a forum moderator, but the people are so well behaved and friendly that there's not much to do except answer the occasional question or direct it to the project personnel if I don't know the answer.
